Microalbumin is a small amount of a protein called albumin that is normally found in the blood. Creatinine is a normal waste product found in urine. A microalbumin creatinine ratio compares the amount of albumin to the amount of creatinine in your urine.

A microalbumin creatinine ratio is most often used to screen people who are at higher risk for kidney disease. These include people with diabetes or high blood pressure. Identifying kidney disease at an early stage can help prevent serious complications.

Intended Use

The Microalbumin/Creatinine (ACR) Comb Test kit (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Immunochromatographic Assay) is suitable for quantitative detection of microalbumin and creatinine in human urine in vitro, and calculating microalbumin/ creatinine ratio.
The concentrations of Microalbumin (hereinafter as mALB), creatinine (CR), and microalbumin/creatinine ratio (ACR) can be tested to assist in the diagnosis of Renal dysfunction.
