Lipid Panel Test Strips
The Lipid Panel Test Strips are intended to measure cholesterol (TC), HDL cholesterol (HDL-c) and triglycerides (TG) in whole blood.
Blood lipid is the general name of lipid substances contained in blood. Hyperlipidemia refers to one or more levels of blood lipid
components such as plasma cholesterol, triglyceride and total fat that exceed the normal standard. The main harm of hyperlipidemia
is atherosclerosis, which leads to many related diseases, among which the most common fatal disease is coronary heart disease. The
combined detection of three blood lipids (total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglyceride) can help to provide
clinical reference for the diagnosis and treatment of lipoprotein metabolism disorders such as diabetes, atherosclerosis,
nephropathy, liver disease and coronary heart disease. Currently the common clinical methods to detect the content of total
cholesterol and triglyceride in blood samples include enzymatic method, chemical method, and methods based on high performance
liquid chromatography. The methods to detect HDL-C in blood samples include precipitation method, direct method, etc.
It is used with Lumigenex's Pro Chek® Dry Chemistry Analyzer which provides diagnostic answers in 2 minutes.
The Dry Chemistry Analyzer should only be used by healthcare professionals and for in vitro diagnostic use.
