Intended Use

This Ketone body test strip is used to measure the amount of ketones in the blood and diagnose ketoacidosis.

A ketone test can a warning of a serious diabetes complication called diabetic ketoacidosis, or DKA.
An elevated level of this substance in the blood can mean very high blood sugar. Too many ketones can trigger DKA, which is a medical emergency.
Regular tests at home can spot if ketone levels run too high. Then taking insulin to lower the blood sugar level or get other treatments to prevent complications.
 
It is used with Lumigenex's Pro Chek® Dry Chemistry Analyzer which provides diagnostic answers in 2 minutes.
