PocRoc® Faecal Occult Blood (FOB) Rapid Test Kit(Colloidal Gold)is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of fecal occult blood in human fecal specimens in laboratories or physician offices.
The fecal occult blood test is one option for colon cancer screening. It may be an option if you have an average risk of colon cancer and don't have any symptoms. The fecal occult blood test is typically repeated yearly.
A fecal occult blood test is commonly used as a screening test to help find colorectal cancer before you have symptoms. The test also has other uses. It may be done when there is concern about bleeding in the digestive tract from other conditions.
In certain cases, the test is used to help find the cause of anemia. And it can help tell the difference between irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which usually doesn't cause bleeding, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which is likely to cause bleeding.
Test Procedure
2. Place the test cassette horizontally, break off the cap of the sample tube, and add 3 drops of sample into the sample well of the test cassette.
3. Read the result in about 15 minutes, the result after 30 minutes would be regarded as invalid.
