Intended Use

The 25(OH)D3 Quantitative Detection Kit is intended to measure the level of vitamin D in the blood specimen. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium and maintain strong bones throughout its entire life. The body produces vitamin D when the sun’s UV rays contact the skin. Vitamin D must go through several processes in the body before it can be used. The first transformation occurs in the liver where the vitamin D is converted to a chemical known as 25-hydroxyvitamin D, also called calcidiol.
The 25-hydroxy vitamin D test is the best way to monitor vitamin D levels. The amount of 25-hydroxyvitamin D is a good indication of how much vitamin D it has in the body.

It is used with Lumigenex LTRIC Series Time-Resolved Fluorescence Immunoassay Analyzer which provides diagnostic answers in 15 minutes.
The Analyzer should only be used by healthcare professionals for in vitro diagnostic use.
