Glycosylated Hemoglobin Test Strips(Dry chemical method)
In a hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) test, the quantity of blood sugar (glucose) bound to hemoglobin is determined. The component of red blood cells called hemoglobin is responsible for transporting oxygen from the lungs to the remainder of the body. An HbA1c test reveals the usual level of hemoglobin-bound glucose over the previous three months. It is based on a three-month average because a red blood cell usually lasts for that amount of time.
