NT-ProBNP Test Kit TRFIA Congestive Heart Failure Cardiac Marker

The NT-proBNP Test Kit can be used in vitro with a Time-Resolved Fluorescence Immunoanalyzer to quickly quantify the concentration of NT-proBNP in human serum and anticoagulated whole blood or plasma specimens at a point of care location. Acute coronary syndrome and congestive heart failure risk stratification and congestive heart failure diagnosis are both intended uses of the test.

Principle

The NT-proBNP Test Kit is a single-use time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay device for measuring the level of NT-proBNP in human serum and anticoagulated whole blood or plasma specimens. Two monoclonal antibodies against NT-proBNP are included in the test kit. One of the antibodies is covalently bound to the fluorescent microspheres' surface. Antibody-labeled microspheres are sprayed on the conjugate pad, while the other antibody is immobilized on the detection pad's test line. NT-proBNP in the specimen reacts with the fluorescent microsphere coupled NT-proBNP mouse antihuman monoclonal antibody to form a fluorescent antigen-antibody complex, which flows to the test line and is captured by the other antibody to form a fluorescent antibody sandwich complex after the addition of diluted whole blood, serum, or plasma specimen. As a result, the higher the concentration of NT-proBNP in the specimen, the more fluorescent antibody sandwich accumulates in the test line. To quantify the concentration of NT-proBNP in the specimen, the fluorescence from the test kit is collected and calculated by the Lumigenex LTRIC series Time-resolved Fluorescence Immunoanalyzer.
